Skull Fire Final Update
PENDLETON, Ore. (July 7, 2024)
— The Skull Fire, which is located
approximately five miles southeast of Ukiah, OR near the Drift Fence Campground
on the North Fork John Day Ranger District has transitioned down to a type 4
incident this morning.
Skull Fire is 100 percent contained at approximately 64 acres. Fire
managers will continue to patrol and assess the fire.
Umatilla National Forest is very thankful for all the assistance
from our partner agencies that helped in managing this fire.
This will be the final daily update unless conditions change.
Information regarding progress on the fire will be shared on the Umatilla
National Forest social media and Blue Mountain Fire Information Blog.
Officials want to remind everyone that while the current fire
danger rating remains at LOW for
Umatilla National Forest, this weekend is
expected to be extremely hot and dry with conditions spanning through next week.
