Current Situation: 

The Bologna Fire entered its final stages Friday as firefighters shifted their focus to rehabilitation and suppression repair while incident managers continue right-sizing the organization as objectives are met.

Suppression repair is nearly complete on the eastern portion of the fire and continues across the northern and southern portions, where crews are rehabilitating firelines, installing erosion-control features, and reducing long-term environmental impacts while maintaining primary access lines. Firefighters also continue extinguishing isolated pockets of heat, mitigating hazard trees, and inspecting completed repair work.

Incident personnel continue coordinating with local and federal partners as they evaluate when fire-related closures can be safely lifted. The public should continue to respect all closures until changes are officially announced.

Weather and Fire Behavior: Warm, dry conditions will continue Friday with highs near 90 degrees and minimum relative humidity between 12% and 17%. North to northwest winds will increase through the afternoon. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect Saturday as a dry cold front is expected to bring stronger winds and elevated fire weather conditions.
