Current Situation: 

The Bologna Fire continues moving toward full containment as firefighters focus on patrol, monitoring, mop-up and suppression repair. Incident managers continue right-sizing the organization as suppression objectives are met.

On Thursday, crews will continue securing containment lines, extinguishing remaining pockets of heat and mitigating hazard trees. Suppression repair also continues across the fire as crews rehabilitate dozer and hand lines. Resource Advisors are working alongside firefighters to restore fire-affected areas by blending dozer lines into the landscape and reducing long-term environmental impacts. 

Incident personnel continue coordinating with local and federal partners as they evaluate when fire-related closures can be safely lifted. The public should continue to respect all current closures until changes are officially announced.

Weather and Fire Behavior: Warm, dry weather will continue Thursday with no chance of rain. Highs will reach the mid-80s with minimum relative humidity between 22% and 27% and poor overnight recovery. Light west winds will shift north, with gusts up to 15 mph.
