8/23 Middle Ridge OR-UMF-000781.  WWRD.  IC5.  5 Miles NW of Elgin, OR.  Start 8/23.  Full Suppression.  Cause: Unknown.  .96 Acres.  100% Contained.  Timber and Grass.  Smoldering fire behavior.  The fire was burning in the Phillips Creek Fire of last year.  Incidents Previously Reported Rail OR-WWF-000582. IMT2. NW Team 6 (Sheldon). 5 miles W of Unity, OR. Start 7/31. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 32,170 acres (+1,043). 45% containment. Timber. Moderate fire behavior. The fire has burned into the Monument Rock Wilderness. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Continued mop-up, line construction and burn out as conditions allow.
