Despite Red Flag Warnings and high winds firefighters were able to establish good line along both flanks of the fire, removing snags and establishing hose lays.

Today firefighters will focus on mopping up the fire area and should be aided by cooler temperatures and lighter winds.

We continue to ask the public to stay clear of the FS Road 3960 (Upper Imnaha Rd), Trail 1860 and the Indian Crossing, Coverdale and Hidden Campgrounds for firefighter and public safety.

Wallowa-Whitman NF remains in Phase B Public Use Restrictions. Please check the forest web page for a list of campgrounds where campfires are approved.
