Rail Fire Information and Evacuation Level II Get SET Update
Fire activity increased on the Rail fire this afternoon as a result of the expected cold front passing through the area. This prompted a change in evacuation levels along Cemetery Road, South Fork Road and Bull Run Road. The residences along these three roads are now in a level 2 evacuation notice "GET SET". The Baker County Sheriffs Office is in the process of making contact with homeowners in the affected areas. The previously evacuated Forest Service campgrounds of Mammoth Springs, Elk Creek, Stevens Creek, and South Fork remain closed to the public, as does National Forest land near the fire.
