A Note About Donations:

We’ve been getting lots of questions about where folks can donate supplies and food for firefighters. All of the fire personnel are truly grateful for the outpouring of support; however we ask that donations instead be contributed to charities and the local volunteer fire departments. The firefighters working the Eagle, El Dorado, Cornet and Windy Ridge Fires are well supplied, and they appreciate seeing the community support each other during these times. You can also show your support for fire personnel by making cards and posters, or by simply saying “thank you” when you see them.   

The school is hosting the Southwest Incident Management Team and the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Green Team, who are jointly managing the Cornet and Windy Ridge Fires.

The school is also hosting a Joint Information Center providing public information for all fires in Baker County – it includes reps from the Incident Management Teams, Red Cross, Baker County, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Oregon Department of Forestry, and Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office.
