Key Messages

Mop‑up and patrol — Firefighters continue securing and patrolling established containment lines and reinforcing sections where steep terrain or heavy fuels limit direct engagement. Crews are extinguishing remaining heat along the fire’s edge and backhauling hose, pumps, and other equipment no longer needed on the line.

Suppression repair — Heavy equipment and hand crews are restoring areas affected by firefighting operations. Resource Advisors are guiding efforts to stabilize soils, improve drainage, remove hazard trees, and reduce impacts along dozer lines, handlines, access routes, and staging areas.

Aviation operations — UAS (drone) flights continue to support firefighters by identifying remaining heat and confirming completed work. Helicopters and other aircraft remain available for targeted water delivery where conditions warrant.

Road and area access — Fire personnel and equipment remain active on forest roads and within closure areas. These closures are in place to protect both the public and firefighters. Hunters and visitors must stay out of closed areas and off closed roads. Forest and fire staff are evaluating boundaries daily and will reopen areas when conditions allow.

CURRENT CONDITIONS AND Planned activities

Hagen Fire

Fire crews continue to backhaul equipment, pull hose lays and remove pumps throughout the impacted area. Heavy equipment will be working on road repairs, ditching and constructing water bars. Firefighters will be working on suppression repair as well as cold trailing for hot spots.

Paradise Fire

Resources remain focused on fire suppression rehab, removing hose lays and road repair across the footprint of the fire. Some crews will be working on chipping woody debris left behind during fire line construction and other fire personnel will be gridding the fire in search of hot spots that need to be addressed.

Weather and Fire behavior

Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. A 60% chance of rain with a 25% chance of thunderstorms. Continued low fire potential under the persistent influence of high RH, high cloud cover and possible light rain.
