Key Messages

Road and area access — Fire crews and equipment are still working on forest roads and within closed areas. These closures are in place as heavy machinery, potholes, unstable trees, and hidden hot spots can make these areas dangerous to enter.

Hunters and visitors must stay out of closed areas and roads until they reopen — Boundaries are reviewed daily and areas will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Suppression repair — Heavy equipment operators and hand crews are repairing areas disturbed during firefighting. Specialists are guiding this work to stabilize soil, improve drainage, remove damaged trees that could fall, and reduce the impact of bulldozer tracks, cleared lines, access routes, and staging areas.

Mop‑up and patrol — Firefighters continue checking and patrolling the fire's edges, putting out any remaining hot spots. Crews are also packing up hoses, pumps, and other equipment no longer needed on the fire line.

CURRENT CONDITIONS AND Planned activities

Hagen Fire

Fire crews continue packing up equipment, removing hose lines, and pulling pumps from the affected area. Heavy equipment will be repairing roads, digging drainage ditches, and building small barriers to control water runoff. Firefighters will also be closely checking cooled areas for any hidden hot spots.  

Paradise Fire
Crews remain focused on repairing the land, removing hose lines, and fixing roads across the fire footprint. Some crews will be chipping up woody debris left over from clearing fire lines, while others will be searching the fire area methodically for any hot spots that still need attention.

Weather and Fire behavior

Rain last night will give way to clear skies around 11 a.m. today. There will be increased winds out of the west. Fire activity is expected to remain low because of the recent rainfall and high humidity.
