Wallowa-Whitman IFPL Increase

The Whitman IFPL Area has increased to an IFPL of II. The area involves all Wallowa-Whitman NF lands South and West of I-84.
IFPL II (Partial Hootowl) - Industrial Fire Precaution Levels apply to all commercial operations and commercial fire wood permits
***New this year, IFPLs
implement the restrictions on the personal use fire wood permits. Under IFPL
II, this means a 1 p.m. power-saw shutdown all personal use firewood permits.
IFPL levels change frequently, permit holders/operators are encouraged to call the information hotlines listed below and check the Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center website (http://bmidc.org/ifpls.shtml) for up-to-date information.
